Named after Winston Churchill, who famously smoked as many as ten of these beauties a day, our version of this robust vitola is seven-inches long with a ring gauge of forty eight. And while Churchill’s smoking habits aren’t ones we’d suggest you emulate, it’s easy to understand the appeal of these flavorful, full-bodied smokes. Partnering with the talented artisans at Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, we’ve created a sophisticated, one-of-a-kind blend, using a unique barrel fermentation process. Throughout the 12-18 month fermentation period, bundles of Kentucky fire-cured tobacco are soaked in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels, imparting a unique flavor profile and aroma. Cigars are then hand-rolled and ready to smoke. The blend’s strength level is considered “Medium Plus,” which means it can be enjoyed by new smokers and longtime aficionados. Round out your smoking experience and pair your Barrel-Fermented Churchill with a tumbler of rye or another similarly spicy spirit.
The passion project of two college buddies from New York (Jonathan Drew and Marvin Samel), Drew Estates, based in Esteli, Nicaragua, is the result of decades of hardwork and a commitment to rolling some of the finest cigars you can find. They’re also deeply committed to supporting the people who work for them, creating an inspiring art-filled workspace and providing both healthcare and reliable transportation.
Our cigars arrive sealed and shrink wrapped in cellophane. We are unable to accept returns on opened boxes.
How quickly your cigars will dry out depends on the humidity in the air. More humid climates are better for cigars. In general, you should store cigars in a humidor or airtight bag as soon as your shipment arrives. Due to inconsistent shipping climates, it is important to give your cigars a few days to rehydrate before enjoying one. If you don't have a humidor we suggest putting the cigars in a plastic food storage bag or container. For every 25 cigars stored, put a damp sponge or paper towel in the bag or container. Store the bag on a shelf or in a closet. If you don't have a humidor, we suggest purchasing one of our Boveda humidor bags or one of our 2-way humidity control packs designed to keep your cigars at the ideal humidity. They are available for purchase on our website. Please note: Our cigars arrive sealed and shrink-wrapped in cellophane. We are unable to accept returns on opened boxes.
Great Cigars
My husband is a bit of a cigar snob…he absolutely raved about these cigars! Great flavor and burn!
The taste is tried and true all the way through! No disappointment here! Great Stick at a worthy price. Wish they had an everyday smoke at an affordable price…
Glad you enjoyed Steve. Have a great week with your new cigars. - Jon
Yes as I would expect . I no expert but I found the church hills having a very robust smell out of the wrapper. Even though it’s one of the longer cigars I’ve tried it had a very smooth drag with no punch needed . The taste was consistent from start to finish. The roll was fantastic with little ashing needed. With that being said I thing the smoke time was a little long for me so I think the next I would like to try are the flying pig . I hope the sample packs come back as gift ideas. Last but not least I’m having my first bourbon tasting next month and that was the main reason I ordered your cigars to try . I believe I’ve chosen wisely lol . Thanks again for such a great product
Best cigar for the money I’ve ever had! Can’t be smooth flavor that just gets better the farther down you smoke!
What a smooth smoke.
