The Story

Order at least one of each size box (Robusto, Toro, and Churchill) and receive a pack of 3 Pappy Drew Limitada Cigars. This exclusive offer is only while supplies last and there is a limit of one 3 pack of the Limitada per person.

A cigar is a symbol of celebration.

Mild, sweet and refined; just like life should be.
For the cigar aficionado, a description from the maker, Jonathan Drew, founder of Drew Estate:
The Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented cigar is a 100% long-filler, premium cigar made totally by hand in very small batches at Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. This historic cigar features a “barrel fermented” “tapa negra”-style wrapper over a Mexican San Andres base wrapper, as well as aged Nicaraguan Filler tobaccos, personally selected by me. It is the perfect choice for pairing with any of the Van Winkle bourbon and rye products.
The strength level of the Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented Cigar is “Medium Plus,” which allows both new smokers and experienced aficionados to enjoy the blend. It’s a well-rounded, sophisticated cigar, with body and a hearty expression. At Drew Estate, we are known for passion and innovation, and making premium cigars is our ‘raison d’être’ [reason to be]. The Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented premium cigar is truly a showcase of our passion for cigar-making.
Comes in a lined, custom wooden box with 10 Robusto size (5.25 x 52) cigars. Please be advised the seal may be cut as they are randomly selected while going through customs.
These cigars are sold exclusively by Pappy & Company.

  1. Fire, smoke, spice

Posted by Nathan Alred on 15th Oct 2016

I sat out on the porch last night and watched the remnants of Typhoon Songda pouring down on my yard. A fire was going in the grate, my dog was curled up next to me, and I was smoking a Pappy's robusto. Fire, smoke, warmth - describes the evening and the cigar. Even unlit, this cigar smells a bit like smoke, a bit like oak, with some of the spice notes you get from a whiff of bourbon.

Great wrapper, but the first one seemed to be rolled a little loose. Other than that, a truly enjoyable cigar.

I may save one, just to enjoy that smell of the wrapper. I'll let it take me back to a wet, cold fall night when I was warm, dry and relaxed.

  2. Fantastic Smoke!

Posted by Mike on 14th Oct 2016

I really enjoyed this smoke. I've been looking to get my hands on some Pappies for a little bit now and it most certainly did not disappoint! As a bourbon lover, I'll probably light up another one (probably go toro) tonight with a glass (or two) of nice bourbon - no Pappy on-hand sadly - but rye is supposed to be the perfect pairing for it. This truly is a fantastic smoke and a very pleasant blend between a traditional cigar and an infused cigar. The sweet and smoky profiles that are prolific throughout are just amazing.

  6. Drew estate does it again!

Posted by Unknown on 13th Sep 2016

Nice medium bodied fermented smoke especially with a glass of Pappy that I was fortunate to purchase last year. Nice job drew estate! Hope to see more Pappy cigars with a 60 ring size, keep up the good work!

  7. You Never Forget Your First

Posted by Bill Bretz on 13th Sep 2016

I have tried to find this cigar since they were first announced. No luck until I got an email from Pappy, offering the chance to purchase. After several months of waiting, ?I got a package. PAPPYS! Outside, where I sit to smoke, Hermine was blowing. I braved the gale and lit up to cigar enlightenment. It smoked straight and true. I had a 3 inch ash, even with the wind. the flavor was mellow, with the fire cured leaf adding a lovely grace note to the Nicaraguan filler. The draw was perfect, giving the perfect amount of smoke. Even Cigar Cartel members have been fishing for my address. I would love to continue, but my next Pappy is calling. Now, if I could just find a bottle of Pappy in Pennsylvania......

  8. Pappy pleasure

Posted by Ron on 13th Sep 2016

Cigar has a great flavor and burns even. Next time send a bottle of Pappy to drink with it.

  9. Smoke em if you got em!

Posted by Unknown on 13th Sep 2016

I have put this cigar in my my top two all time!
A beautiful smoke that is very smooth with a great even burn. Its definitely not a "light" cigar but everyone should experience these at least once.

  10. Great Smoke

Posted by Joseph on 13th Sep 2016

It is a Medium Smoke, so the barrel fermented wrapper is not too strong. However, it adds a nice rich body to the cigar. It goes great with Pappy or any Buffalo Trace Bourbon!!
