The Story

Order at least one of each size box (Robusto, Toro, and Churchill) and receive a pack of 3 Pappy Drew Limitada Cigars. This exclusive offer is only while supplies last and there is a limit of one 3 pack of the Limitada per person.

A cigar is a symbol of celebration.

Mild, sweet and refined; just like life should be.

For the cigar aficionado, a description from the maker, Jonathan Drew, founder of Drew Estate:

The Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented cigar is a 100% long-filler, premium cigar made totally by hand in very small batches at Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. This historic cigar features a “barrel fermented” “tapa negra”-style wrapper over a Mexican San Andres base wrapper, as well as aged Nicaraguan Filler tobaccos, personally selected by me. It is the perfect choice for pairing with any of the Van Winkle bourbon and rye products.

The strength level of the Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented Cigar is “Medium Plus,” which allows both new smokers and experienced aficionados to enjoy the blend. It’s a well-rounded, sophisticated cigar, with body and a hearty expression. At Drew Estate, we are known for passion and innovation, and making premium cigars is our ‘raison d’être’ [reason to be]. The Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented premium cigar is truly a showcase of our passion for cigar-making.

Comes in a lined, custom wooden box with 10 Toro size (6 x 52) cigars. Please be advised the seal may be cut as they are randomly selected while going through customs.

These cigars are sold exclusively by Pappy & Company.

  1. Great smoke!

Great smoke!; the aroma of the Pappy Vanwinkle is very nice. I've smoked two and both were smoked very short and neither one got very hot at the end. I would recommend these cigars to any of my friends. I can't wait to try the churchills next.

Great tasting cigar, rolled very well. Cigars were in stock, received them in 2 days.

  5. A cigar worthy of its name

Posted by Dr. Baldwin on 4th May 2017

Having smoked cigars for 25 years, I have tried just about everything. Then a friend of mine showed up on cigar night with a box of your cigars. I was skeptical until I took the first draw. Medium bodied but full flavored, this stogie burned cool and even with hints of oak and just a just a tinge of bourban. Whether you are an occassional cigar smoker or an aficionado, you will not be disappointed.

  6. WOW!

A fantastic smoke and already ordering more along with friends / family loving them and going to order as well.

  7. Excellent smoke

I have ordered these cigars several times and they remain one of my favorite. Anyone I have shared them with feels the same way. If you are a cigar smoker or know someone who is, I would highly recommend these cigars. they are especially enjoyable when paired with a bourbon.

  8. Smooth as silk

Great pairing with my Pappy. Great to sit back in my yard and enjoy both...ahhh

  9. A perfect smoke

Posted by Pete on 6th Apr 2017

Pappy Van Winkle produces a fantastic series of Bourbons and Drew Estate makes excellent cigars, especially their Kentucky Fire Cured brand. One would think collaboration between these two companies would create an amazing cigar...and they do!! The decorative cigar box contained 10 tapa negra style wrapped cigars, which provided a nice two toned looked and a smooth near perfect smoke. (We have to leave some room for improvement right?) If you are not into longer reviews and you are anywhere near the “fence,” buy a box any (or all three) you will not be disappointed.

I was reading a bourbon magazine the other day that contained "perfect" pairings between cigars and a variety of bourbon brands. The magazine recommended another brand to be paired with a Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, which may be an excellent combination, but from my experience the Van Winkle Bourbon goes perfect with a Van Winkle cigar. (After all, that was the intent in creating the Van Winkle Cigar) I have paired these cigars (Two Toro’s and the Limitada) with the 10 and 12 year and both complement each other for a truly unique and blissful experience.

With the resurgence and increased value of quality bourbons over the past five to ten years, many who have never had the opportunity to try a Van Winkle bourbon may scoff at the 2nd hand (non-factory) prices and while they are expensive, my wife and I agree the Van Winkle Bourbon and now these cigars live up to the hype.

I've ordered several items from the (non-bourbon) Pappy Van Winkle site and all items have arrived promptly and well packaged. Recently, in fact when I placed an order for these cigars, I made some last minute shipping adjustments and the staff at Pappy's were very helpful and made sure my order was correct and would arrive at it's destination on time. (It came a day early)

The Pappy Van Winkle and Drew Estates collaboration has created an excellent cigar for all occasions, but do yourself a favor, the first one you have, pair it with a 2 oz pour of Pappy’s Bourbon.

  10. Best cigar I ever had!

Nice smooth tasty smoke. Can't say more than that, except that I expect cigar aficionado to rate it above 95.
